£39,000 in Second New Tenor Bills printed from same plates as the Jan. 15, 1741/42 issue but with 1742 added without disturbing the prior dating. The first £15,000 were authorized by the July 1, 1742 Act. Then £12,000 more were authorized by the Jan. 12, 1742/43 Act which issue, pursuant to the Jan. 14, 1742/43 Resolution, required denominational modifications to be made on the plates so as to change 4s to 2s6d; 3s to 15d; 2s to 9d; and 8d to 3d. £12,000 more were authorized by the Nov. 12, 1743 Act. Backs contain alternating typeset text and ornaments. Initials k and g on the back are those of the printers, Kneeland and Green. Signers were Roland Cotton and J. Willard.
