£55,000 in legal tender Bills authorized during the Session ended Nov. 3,1755 and good until Jan. 1, 1760. This emission and those in the four subsequent years were primarily to support military expeditions during the French and Indian War. These emissions were to be redeemed by tax levies, as distinguished from Loan Office operations. Penn Arms are on the face and a nature print on the back.
