Founded by James Kelly, Max Humbert, James Ruddy, Q. David Bowers, and Michael Di Salle in 1964. (See separate Bowers & Ruddy and Kelly listings.) In addition, David Akers, (a later prominent member of the firm) formed his own company in 1988 (see separate listing). Paramount's first sale is often mistaken for a Kelly catalog.
